This one for famousjay...
Famousjay Wrote "WWJD: What would Jesse do if they did away with queue flexing and wanted previous employees back? Hmm.. I know what Kr5is would do. He'd move back from
.. But what would Jesse do?"
I make More money here even after paying for my own benefits I only have to drive 15 mins to get to work. I leave early on Fridays and get paided a full 40 hours. I take lunch when I want and for as long as I want. The boss buys us lunch about once a week. One Day I left Sick with 3 hours left in the day and guess what I was paid 40 hours for that week ... Most of the time my boss doesn’t care what I’m doing as long as the work gets done. So when the works over I watch movies, surf anywhere I want (NO I am NOT NOAH), Play on my GP2x, Download music.....
OR
I can go back to D3ntrix and make less money spend 2X as much on gas to get to work, If I leave early on a Friday I do not get paid 40 hours and If I dont hit 40 hours they will use a 4 hour chunk of PTO to make it up. If I’m 7 mins late 3 times I have to be afraid of losing my job. If i leave sick i have to use my PTO in 4 hour chunks. PLUS have the off chance that Queue Flexing could come back.....
The ONLY thing I Really Miss From D3ntrix is My Friends!!!!
So to answer WWJD? I would ......
Rather live on welfare then go back to work for D3ntrix. :)
So has anyone from High tech played Stepmania ? its a clone of DDR that is Open source.

The Scottish Kilt: A Brief History...
The kilt is more than just a covering. It allowed those who wore it to move much more freely, especially in the Highlands of Scotland where the weather can become very damp. With its tight weave of strong wool, it created a barrier between the rain and skin. When the armies of the past were fighting in Scotland, the kilt with its pleat helped protect the soldier much like armor would. When the nights became cold, this garment was easily removed and spread out to create a blanket to keep the person who owned it warm. Lastly, if the army needed to move with a much quicker force, the garment could be easily removed, thus allowing the soldier more freedom of movement.
Today the kilt is the national dress of Scotland and worn by many. The various plaids that one can see from time to time are the colors of the particular clan that the wearer belongs to. It is much shorter than the ones worn by the Highland armies of yore, but still evokes the pride that was carried by those who lived above the land of Scotland.
It's not offical Yet but....

Kilts are ok with microsoft...
He admitted that he wears kilts often and has never worn a pair of long pants since he's worked at Microsoft (about 10 years).
WTF... Hey buddy ... why a kilt? ... To work? ... Trying to impress somebody?
I mean ... do you whisper down the tech support line...
"Hey baby ... I can help you ... I'm wearing ... a kilt!"
Saturday was the Scottish Festival at witch I bought a Kilt for a killer deal and decided I would wear it to work.
Every thing was cool until I got back from lunch and Luke said to go Aux 4. He said I needed to go change because my Kilt was Unprofessional... HELLO I live in Payson, I would take an hour and half to change and come back. So I took 4 hours PTO because it’s not worth the gas to go and come back. And if you can’t tell be now I less then like this Job.
The kilt is FORMAL wear, like a suit. If it's considered acceptable to wear it to black tie and other formal occasions, why should wearing it be too CASUAL for work? As for professional wear, the U.S. Marine Corps' tartan is called the "Leatherneck", and there are also U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force tartans. The Air Force has a pipe band and you know they wear the kilt as business attire.
If the kilt follows all dress code rules for ladies skirts, then I should be allowed to wear it. Otherwise, Dentrix is discriminating against Me or any other Kilt wear.
As someone with strong Scottish heritage, I welcome any man wearing a kilt. I don't believe you have to be Scottish to wear a kilt, any more than you have to be Japanese to wear a Kimono, or a cowboy to wear blue jeans. It’s a tribute to Scottish culture that it’s being adapted, not disrespect. It’s definitely far more comfortable and has some distinct advantages. Kilts are great for walking in, they don't rip out, and they force you into conversations with strangers.
For Example Business casual, something button down (including a polo shirt) goes well with most kilts, along with socks and a decent pair of shoes. For a more professional look, I will go ahead and wear kilt hose, a dress shirt (and depending on the situation, maybe a tie). Obviously, there are some things that won't work for professional dress or even business casual.

Stop Windows Update from nagging you to restart your computer!
I found this after a lot of Googling, so I'd like to share the solution. Yep, this may not be new or even advanced but it surely helped me...
Anyone who is running Windows XP SP2 know what I'm talking about. That stupid, annoying, most ill-designed dialog box ever invented in the history of the computer science that asks "Updating your computer is almost complete. You must restart your computer for the updates to take effect. Do you want to restart your computer now?"
And there are only two options: Restart Now/Restart Later. "Restart Later" means that this stupid thing will ask you again in 10 minutes. Yes, if you're willing to work for the next 4 hours until lunch before rebooting, this means you'll need to answer this question 24 times. Did I mention that the dialog steals the focus?
Now, to get rid of it:
Start / Run / gpedit.msc / Local Computer Policy / Computer Configuration / Administrative Templates / Windows Components / Windows Update / Re-prompt for restart with scheduled installations
You can configure how often it will nag you (I re-configured it for 720 minutes, which means I'll be asked twice on a work day), or completely disable it.
Oh, I almost forgot: this setting is only loaded when Windows starts, so a reboot is needed. If that stupid dialog is on your screen now, just stop the "Automatic Updates" service (but keep it as Automatic, so it gets reloaded on the next start) and you won't see it again.
